Arrifana Beach

Praia da Arrifana is part of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, set at the foot of cliffs around 60 metres high. The sand is generous and protected to the north by a ruined historic fort on the clifftop, giving the dramatic framing characteristic of this coast.

Considered one of the best surf beaches on the west Algarve, with consistent swell year-round and a sandy seabed. Local surf schools operate regularly. Narrow road access from Aljezur, with limited clifftop parking and a pedestrian ramp down to the beach.
