Praia de Benagil is the small central beach of the fishing village of the same name, hemmed in by cliffs and rocky outcrops. Its international fame comes from the adjacent Benagil sea cave, accessible by boat, kayak or stand-up paddleboard — the cave's natural skylight in the rock appears in hundreds of international tourism campaigns.
The beach itself is small and very busy. Road access from Carvoeiro or Armação de Pêra; parking is limited. Local seafood restaurants on-site. Cave trips depart directly from the sand on converted fishing boats now operating as water taxis.
