Praia dos Galapos sits inside the Arrábida Natural Park, south-facing and sheltered by the mountain range — conditions that produce unusually clear water and gentle surf, more Mediterranean than Atlantic in feel.
Summer access (July and August) is restricted via a rotating shuttle system between Galapos, Galapinhos and Figueirinha, with free buses from Setúbal. Outside that window, direct road access by a narrow winding road, about 15 minutes from central Setúbal. Small beach; rocks provide shade at the eastern end.
