Praia da Marinha is probably the most photographed beach in the Algarve, tucked between golden cliffs with sea-carved rock arches — the famous twin "M" arches have anchored Algarve tourism campaigns for decades. Compact sand, clear water, rocky seabed close to shore.
Access from the cliff-top car park down a stairway of around 100 steps. It's the start of the Sete Vales Suspensos coastal trail, a 5.7-kilometre walk between Marinha and Vale Centianes. Small size means it's very crowded in July-August and around midday.
